I am taking a temporary break for a couple days so that I can focus on writing. Modifications to past jumps and supplements are still in progress, so I won't be updating them for a little bit. I will definitely return to working on them, but I am getting burned out.

Morcry's Interactive Jumpchain Collection
There is an entire genre of writing in fanfiction that involves "Jumpchain". If you visit Jumpchain.net you will find what I am talking about. The problem I had was that the majority of these jumpdocs are static, played entirely from a pdf file. It could become tedious to keep track of everything, and swap between options, despite the many softwares developed specifically for that.
Then I found the CYOA (Choose Your Own Adventure) Community that published an enteractive version of the same concept, but with less stringent rules. The problem I had was that there were too few of the original Jump documents uploaded there. So I decided I should contribute a little time of my own to try to convert some of those documents.
I am currently getting much better at building my Interactives, after gaining some experience, so subsequent Jumps should be much improved. I will eventually go back and clean up my first jumps, but my priotity is getting a working collection first. I am aim to publish at least three jumps per week, and dedicate the rest of the time to learning Javascript, html, css, and other scripts to allow my greater vision for this website. the current appearance is only a rough working system that I plan to completely overhaul in the future, when I have all the parts I need for it: knowledge.
I plan to stop focusing on images until the major portion of the jumps are up and playable, I can always go back when I revamp everthing to add art to make everything look more attractive. Eventually I will have a method of communication attached to this website as well, but otherwise I can be reached by my email: morcry.neocities@gmail.com
I used the ICC plus software as published by Wahaha303: ICCPlus2, in order to build these interactives, and used the drives located in the aformentioned jumpchain website for the builds. I intend to publish original documents too, but I have yet to finish what I am working on, so it will take some time before I get to publishing those as well.

This is not an exhaustive list, nor a guarantee that I will get to all of these, however I plan to post a fanfiction Jumpchain that uses these jumpchain documents among others, and I plan to have the interactive builds published alongside it. Given that it takes me roughly 2 days per Jumpdocument, and I may take days off, especially for writing, this is a long term project. I will at least try to upload 3 Jumps per week, though I cannot make any guarentees, because life happens.
Additionally, I want to Make a Parent Jump that Can import all the above options, somthing similar to what "LordValmar" has done, so that you can have a continuous Journey within the site. Again, long term project, I have much to learn before I get there.

I will not be uploading content that contains NSFW elements, beyond what is seen in common television. As a bench mark, I am going to say the content in "The Magicians" Jump will be as Rated R as I am willing to get when it comes to conversions, and there will be no pictures that accompany said content. It is based on a book that I remember reading in Highschool, that I found in the School Library, and later was made into a Netflix Series. I will be adding a seperate section that links to other creators' SFW Contributiions as well, I just haven't gotten that set up yet. |
